What i know about the BPO sector is that they have provided employment to millions of youngsters who otherwise would have been unemployed in a country like India. We all know the current situation here. People are rushing to the metroes towards the BPOs as they know that they will get a job and in return will be paid well. You are right.  People/senior residents who have the maximum experience to comment on anything rate call centers and discotheques equally.  People are not ready to accept a culture where male and female staff work at night together to serve other nations who are actually developed enough to pay for their back-end operations to India. Now, you cant tell an IIT graduate to sit and take complaint calls or make sales and actually these are the revenue generators.]]></description>

Who knows there can be end number of future scholars in the frontline of BPO industry? And they are only attracted to this industry because of money I suppose.<br/>

I don&#8217;t have any problem with BPO, In fact KPO and other outsourcing jobs where technical people like law graduates, doctors, architects, engineers are require are good enough for the skilled workforce of India. Mind you first they acquire skill then the job in the KPO. My only concern is the way youngsters’ are getting carried away with this BPO wave.<br/>

What we call associates in BPO’s lingo can be replaced by senior citizens, VRS employees or say physically challenged people. We need to understand the importance of young generation for the future of this country. They need to acquire skills and education to attain the right growth in there career.<br/>

I can go on and on... And end up writing another story about how the youngsters are loosing there track by following money so early in there life...]]></description>
